THE COMPANY:
During the course of the last 30 years, COLMEC has achieved a leading position within the European market for the manufacture of extrusion lines for rubber compounds. The never ending search for new technology, the attention given to the specific requirements of the customer, innovative solutions and strict control of our production processes are just some of the items that have built COLMEC's reputation and image.

FACILITY:
We now operate from our new, modern and functional facility that occupies 40,000 square meters, 12,000 of which are covered. Our building contains the commercial and administrative departments together with the technical and production departments. Production being sub divided into: fabrication, assembly, spare parts and painting.

COLMEC TECHNOLOGY CENTER:
Colmec has opened its new Colmec Technology Center CTC to develop new products and to allow its customers to test Colmec's innovative technology in a dedicated and well equipped modern facility. The CTC is housed in a separate 3,000 square meters facility and contains four extrusion lines equipped with our latest technology and machinery for rubber and silicone processing as well as mixing and straining. Some of the equipments included in the CTC are:

• Production line for rubber profiles including extruders and hot air or molten salt curing system (Colmec Patent)
• Production line for the extrusion of rubber or silicon profiles complete with a high speed hot air vulcanization system
• Silicone cable production line
• Automotive rubber hose production line
• Mixing and straining of rubber and silicone compounds

PLANNING:
The technical department uses the most evolved CAD/CAM planning methods. No detail is neglected, with the results achieved being due to the professionalism of the entire technical staff. MANUFACTURINGCOLMEC has consistently invested in new machinery and equipment. Integrated together with computer support and control systems, which, managed by highly qualified staff guarantees the precision and the quality of our production process. All the mechanical components of greatest importance are manufactured in the Colmec workshop, including extrusion screws, i.e. the "heart" of the extruders and as a result of extensive studies concerning externally manufactured parts, the support of specialised external suppliers is guaranteed. All of the manufactured pieces are readily available as spares. This essential characteristic of the company guarantees our further commitment to our customers.
